What is Synchro?

Some clubs have synchronized skating teams. These teams work on developing programs based around synchronized moves on the ice. It's a group activity and there are competitions for this type of skating as well although I don't think it's as common as free/dance/pairs.

I have no experience with this type of skating but from what I hear, the logistics of getting a group of kids together on the rink on a regular basis without people missing and showing up late and all the other baggage of family scheduling that get in the way is somewhat daunting. I think a lot of these groups start out with the best intentions but have a hard time keeping going. Just too many schedules to coordinate and if people don't show up religiously, then it's hard to practice with people missing.
